Salon Re-Opening

It has been a crazy few months to say the least! I have missed every one of you terribly and am SO HAPPY to announce that under some new guidelines given by the state of Connecticut Kalon will open starting MAY 20th. I have tried to reach out to everyone whose appointments were cancelled due to the closure. If you had an appointment and haven't heard from me please reach out to me directly via phone call or text at: 1-203-572-2253. I ask that everyone else please try and schedule online (Link below). I am happy to provide a one-on-one atmosphere. I am confident that we can keep each other and our families safe during this time. Here are some common practices I have always instituted and will continue to do so:

· There will never be another stylist or patron in the suites while your appointment is underway.

· NOTHING touches two clients without being completely sanitized. All brushes, combs, scissors, clips, hair color brushes, capes, towels, robes etc. are properly disinfected every time. I have invested in extra sets of tools to ensure that used ones can sit overnight in barbicide (A hospital grade disinfectant).

· I am proud to inform as part of the MY SALON SUITE standards, and in compliance with state and local health codes, our state of the art HVAC system has full fresh air exchange so there is never any recycled air in our space.

· All surfaces and do mean ALL because of that touch of darn OCD, will be thoroughly sanitized with hospital grade cleaner in between each and every client.

· As an extra precaution I will be taking temperatures at the door.

· I myself will always have a mask and face shield as suggested by the state. I have been lucky to get enough that I can change both in between each client.

· At this time I have paused taking children’s services.

Here's what I'm asking of you:

· The waiting room WILL BE CLOSED. I ask that you either call or text me when you are at the suites for your appointment. I will come get you when everything is sanitized and ready for you.

· I will ask you to thoroughly wash your hands upon entering my suite.

· Ear-loop masks are required to be worn at all times that cover both your nose and mouth.

· No food or drink will be allowed in the salon until further notice. I know services can be long so I will have bottled water and seltzers you can take as you leave to rehydrate on your ride home.

· I ask that you come with just a phone or book and form of payment.

· The state is not allowing more than one person in at a time even from the same household so I ask that you come alone.

· Last but not least. To ensure I can deliver my services safely and smoothly I ask that you arrive on time for your appointment. With all the new check in procedures I can’t be as flexible as I might have been in the past. If you are more than 10-15 minutes late you will unfortunately forfeit your appointment, and be subject to my no-show policy.
